“There is a secret in our culture, and it’s not that birth is painful. It’s that women are strong.”

Laura Stavoe Harm

At Blooming Births, we understand that giving birth is a life-changing experience that can be both exhilarating and daunting.

Our support is designed to provide you and your partner with physical, mental, emotional and informational guidance you need to navigate the birth process with confidence.

We combine mind, heart and body connection together with bodywork and movement, using Optimal Maternal Positioning and Spinning Babies techniques to prepare you for your birth ahead. We pride ourselves on using these modalities to help couples navigate roadblocks that may hinder labour progression.

My dream of having a successful VBAC came true with Chantel's support and guidance. My first birth experience, which ended in an emergency c-section, had left me traumatised for years. The painful recovery after surgery convinced me that I had to do things differently and be better educated for my next birth experience.

I am so glad I chanced upon Blooming Births on the internet. I engaged Chantel for a feminine release session, which helped me overcome my fear of having another c-section, the VBAC preparation course and Doula services. My husband and I truly enjoyed attending the preparation course where Chantel was very calm and confident in the way she addressed many of our concerns around having a VBAC. It was easy for us to get along and feel comfortable with Chantel from the onset.

We're grateful to have Chantel be there for us during the last part of my pregnancy as our doula. We had a pre-natal session with her at her studio which was very informative and also empowering, where Chantel shared enlightening tips for us both as a couple and new parents. Chantel would check in on us regularly both before and after the birth to make sure we were doing okay and was quick to share resources we may need. Her warm and gentle presence did wonders in reassuring us the whole way. Thank you Chantel!

Chantel is a very experienced doula and I highly recommend her. As my goal was a drug-free birth and minimal medical intervention, she was with me throughout my 20h labour overnight at home which helped me to power through without rushing to the hospital. I was 2 to 3 cm dilated when I admitted which is good progress. I would've rushed to the hospital earlier if it weren't for her support. Apart from her expertise, she is so easy to talk to. Always so caring and thoughtful to me and my husband. She made sure we are well prepared to birth our first child. She is still supporting us up til today when my baby is 2 months old. Always sending us very useful information. We feel very much cared for. Super highly recommended!

Chantel is an amazing doula! We first contacted Chantel when we decided to have a baby in Singapore instead of our home country. With COVID we knew we would need the additional support for this birth journey. Chantel is warm and knowledgeable about the intricacies of birthing journey. In addition, she made herself available to us all the time via WhatsApp and call when needed. We attended her private antennal class in which she provided valuable and practical information that we found useful not just for the labour, but months leading up the labour and also post labour. Thank you, Chantel, for being part of this journey with us!

I had Chantel as my doula when I gave birth to my little one. My labour (initially without epidural) was 19h long. Her support created the perfect birthing space for me as she encouraged me and helped me through my painful contractions. I really couldn't have had such a wonderful birthing experience if it weren't for her. Chantel was there for me post birth as well, providing much needed support as I went thru my fourth trimester ❤

Emma Anderson

They say it takes a village, for the birth of our second child, we had Chantel at Blooming Births join us in welcoming our second child. She has been nothing short of wonderful, insightful and supportive each step of the way and a valuable member of that village.
At 36 weeks pregnant, our Obstetrician went on leave for 3 weeks, given our first arrived at 37weeks, this put us in a bit of a spin, given his replacement was unable to meet with us before our due date. Chantel calmly gave us some alternative options that matched our preferences and we ended up finding an even better doctor!

In the lead up to the birth, Chantel was always available for reassuring calls or messages. The one on one sessions we had with her at her studio were interesting and super helpful. Given we had done an antenatal course prior to the birth of our first child, we decided not to do one for our second, however I found the few hours we spent with Chantel more useful and informative than the 5week antenatal course we did elsewhere 5years ago.
